Scavenger's Head Gear is one of the Head Gear Armor in The Surge 2. Scavenger's Head Gear provides 7 defense, 27 stability and consumes 2 Core Power. Armor can be crafted by obtaining schematics from Enemies. You can learn more on the Crafting page.
This bootleg head protection was designed for basic survival in quarantined Jericho City. Cobbled together from found and stolen parts (some still a bit bloody), it nevertheless attaches well to any Exo-Rig and provides some light protection and increased physical capacity

The gold shield with the red tick doesn't make sense in this context. It's not a "stat" per se - it's an attribute. I may be wrong but I think the red inside refers to my damage output. In my case I am wearing a helmet with a "damage unamoured -3%" meaning my damage to unamoured parts will be less. Like a penalty for wearing the helmet. The way this wiki presents - there would be no real difference between a blue shield and a blue shield with a red tick inside. The blue shield is the enemies status - the red tick is my status.
