I will save that point for future and test this... What if i give him the Implant and then came to him much time later to see if he die? and get the implant, weapon and scraps? Because he said that he will die anyway, but much later.

Implant is 100x better than the weapon. It's basically the top nano damage resister. Very helpful with a load of bosses

Had a choice to give it to the prof or to tell him to hand it over. After reading this I told him to hand it over, he said "you've killed me you bastard!", then he proceeded to jump off the ledge. Died, no butterfly but I wanted the implant anyhow.

I completed the quest and got the weapon without giving him the implant. I found 3 audio logs called Barrett's Legacy, detailing how he helped create the infected nano scientists. When you confront him with this information and call him a monster the quest completes and gives you nothing. I left and went back to the C.I.T and re-entered the underground so I could defeat the Echo. when I defeated the Echo and returned to the Professor's location he was dead on the ground, and the butterfly and some mats were in an item pyramid.

For what is essentially a corroded old tool aka thusly piece of garbage for a top of the line implant... Professor Okunjo Saint-Croix is a A-hole

Can be found by completing the Quest under Jericho in the Underground and giving him the charged implant (Nano Ward EX). High Poison is nice to get a proc, but the Poison Tick Damage itself is very low.
