Backyard Key is a Quest Item in The Surge 2. Backyard Key is used to open the door beside the pool where the pumps are located.. Quest Items are found in specific areas of a Location or are given by NPCs.

 Backyard Key Use

• Can be used to open the door beside the pool where the pumps are located. The location can be reached after you've activated the first switch you see when progressing from the Drive-Through Theater.
• The pumps can be activated to drain the pool where the fight against CAIN takes place.
• Draining the bomb will cause CAIN to drop an additional Weapon called Red Hot Poker

• Acquired from Norm Turner completing the quest Breaking The Norm.
