Behind Bars is a Quest in The Surge 2. Behind Bars can be acquired from Benjamin Bruke at Detention Center. Quests can be obtained throughout the game by some events or various NPCs.
Save Benjamin Burke from his prison cell at the JCPD.
Behind Bars Information
- Conditions:
- You'll encounter Benjamin Bruke at the Detention Center on Cellblock B.
- After you equip the Exo-Rig, go back to his prison cell and open the jammed door. He will tell you to meet you back at Gateway Bravo. He will also give you Benjamin's Keycard that you can use to open a locker where you fought Violent Vic to obtain Empty INF-Labs Chassis.
- When you reach Gateway Bravo, search for Benjamin Bruke and ask him for a reward. He will give you 1x Large Cache of Advanced Tech
- Failure Conditions:
- If you don't open the Jammed Door, you will later find Benjamin Bruke dead inside his cell.

Might seem basic, but dont hit him. The first hit will not aggro him, but he will get angry and remember it. He will greatly reduce his quest reward ( he will half it) if you free him and meet him at Gateway Bravo to get your money.
I wanted to test if it was possible to attack friendly npcs. I got my answer...
