The Incredible Iron Maus is a Quest in The Surge 2. The Incredible Iron Maus can be acquired from Kyle Baxter at Cloud 9 Bar, after the nano surge. Quests can be obtained throughout the game by some events or various NPCs.
Done with acting, Kyle Baxter decides to don the Iron Maus cape and mask for real. Join him on an amazing adventure at the Cathedral of the Spark.
The Incredible Iron Maus Information
- Conditions:
- After the death of Major General Ezra Shields and the nano surge, find Kyle Baxter at Cloud 9 Bar; he'll talk you to meet him at Cathedral of the Spark.
- After draining the coolant liquid of floor 2 at Cathedral of the Spark, you can find a sideway of the new shortcut to Medbay, which leads to a small room with Kyle Baxter inside, wearing IRONMAUS Set and Justice of the Iron Maus gloves.
- Tell him to go out. At some point, you'll find an enemy body with Iron Maus' mark aside, while also hear him talk about going back to the small room.
- Meet him at the small room again, you can:
- Tell him to go out the second time. He'll die and his body can be found at the uppermost level of the Inner Sanctum of Cathedral of the Spark. The Justice of the Iron Maus gloves will be lying next to him.
- Tell him to leave Cathedral of the Spark, he'll then show up in the Iron Maus comic shop at Port Nixon, giving you his IRONMAUS armor and Justice of the Iron Maus gloves.
- Failure Conditions:
- Tell him to go out the second time. Doing this will result in the Justice of the Iron Maus gloves to be obtainable, but the IRONMAUS Set will be lost

Killed Celeste which (I believe) caused him to not appear a second time at the base. However that didn't matter, as others have already pointed out you still get the set and weapon at the comic book store.

this is totally contradictory and needs to be corrected!

If you go straight to his hideout after the bar you can get the armor without even going to the cathedral.

Worked just as described. Met him in the 'base' inside the citadel, sent him home, (screwed it up thinking sending him here in the first place counted, it doesn't ><) then reloaded a prior save, and knowing my way around the area now was able to complete this in like 10min. Run through the level, meet up with him, send him out once, find the dead body where he calls you on intercom, go back, talk and send him home. If he doesn't tell you to MEET HIM AT THE COMIC SHOP, you screwed up somewhere. Easy peasy.

Also, you can just talk to him, and choose not to send him out/ask him to leave. If you do nothing, you can progress and kill Celeste/HAROLD, then go to the comic shop where you'll find the full set. You can return to the Cathedral, and he will still be in the locker room. You can send him out then. Source: just happened to me, got the full set and achievement without asking him to fight/leave.

For those who struggle with the quest and achievment: do exactly as above mentioned. Send him out once and progress through the dome until you find the body marker with a mouse graffity next to it. Kyle will contact you over radio too. Then immediately go back to the meeting room. Don't progress further, don't kill any bosses. Talk a second time with him and send him home (something along the line "that's suicide! Go home". My client is German, so the exact wording may differ). Then, again immediately, return to the comic shop. Here, you chose a option like "stuntman training done!". One note here, you will receive an info about retrieving the weapon, but not for the armor! You also don't get the blueprints for the armor parts, but the full set as mark 8. Problems other comments mentioned may because they killed bosses before going back I guess.

Hey, so I followed this and went back to the comic... shop thing before I fought Celeste or HAROLD. I got the weapon from him and that was it. But I just looked in my inventory and had the full weapon set. No chest or anything. So, definitely worth checking.

I completed the quest exactly as above by sending him home at the second time. Got full iron maus set and the gloves. But no trophy received! What did I wrong?

i sent him out and got the dialogue the he returned but i killed Celeste and Harold before going back and hes not in the room, the comic book store or the place he dies at so what now?

You don't need to complete the quest to get the set and trophy. I talked to him and sent him to fight once then after seeing the graffiti forgot about the quest and went on my way then returned to Port Nixon hours later and entered the Iron Maus store by chance and there was a loot crate there with the armor and weapon for the trophy. After that I went to the Cathedral and he was still there wounded, so I told him to go home and he went to the Iron Maus store where once I went back I talked to him to complete the quest even if I had already opened the crate. Yes, this quest is weird.

In NG and in NG+. Same bug. He never showed up. Instead, I got a chest in the comic store with the armor and the weapon. Really cool, but the quest is still active and unfinished.

Sent him home aster one kill and then killed celeste and harold and my log says to meet him at the comic store but he isnt there

In order to get the full suit and the weapon, you need to send him to fight once. After that tell him to go home.

There was no dialog option to tell him to go home after the first time he went out.

Talked to him after beating Celeste & Harold, and didn't get the armor set...

can confirm that after u beat celeste and harold if u speak to him in the comic store for the first time then he gives you the weapon and the armour (also i first picked the "how did you beat them" dialogue before the quest finishing one, if that makes any difference), i tryed talking to him before celeste and I GUESS he gave me only the weapon, im not sure, i got outraged and killed him and loaded the game and roflstomped through the bosses just to test if he gives me all the stuff and by god im a lazy git whos not gonna load the old save from 2 hours ago to check properly... hope this helps somewhat

He didn't give me his armor in the comic shop. He only gave me his weapon. There must be more to this.

I sent him home to his Comic Shop after he went out for the first time (like it's mentioned in the guides). After I beat Celeste I went to his Comic Shop in Port Nixon but I found him dead at the area where you fight Brother Eli for the first time (near the Comic Shop). Don't Know why :/

If he dies, his corpse will be in the ceiling of the room where you fight Celeste. The Ironmaus Weapon will be at his corpse... but NO Armor.
if you tell him that he is injured and to go home as soon as you meet him for the first time (he answers along the lines "at least someone understands"), after kiling celeste there would be a chest with gloves and full set in ironmaus store in nixon
