April's Fool is a Quest in The Surge 2. April's Fool can be acquired from Rex at Seaside Court. Quests can be obtained throughout the game by some events or various NPCs.
Rex has been dumped by his girlfriend, April. Find audio evidence about her whereabouts at Terminal Z to give him some much-needed closure.
April's Fool Information
- Conditions:
- Take the Plastic Rose located behind Rex at the Seaside Court. This will enable a new dialog option. Ask her about the story of her Ex-Girlfriend and tell him you'll help.
- After you defeat Little Johnny at Port Nixon, use the EMP-44 'Starfish' to open a magnetic lock in the small area before the boss area. Here you'll find audiolog April's Fate.
- Go back to the Seaside Court and talk to Rex. If you tell him the truth, he will leave the Seaside Court and the quest will be complete. You will also find audiolog breakup call in front of his shop.
- Failure Conditions:
- Reaching the Cathedral of the Spark before returning to Rex will cause him to appear dead in his cage.
- Rewards:
- If you tell the truth to Rex, he will be locked in a prison in the Cathedral of the Spark. Talking to him will start the quest Liberation.

I finished this Quest and I still don't understand what I accomplished, other than potentially sending a surfer-accented young man to die fighting cultists.
